Tony and What His Personnel File Tells Us (Four)

Tony likes to talk about how he came from the mean streets of Philadelphia. Here is another guy who came from Philadelphia and what a difference!

Two half-truths equal a whole lie- Benjamin Franklin

As promised, we now review Tony’s criminal record (see court documents and application excerpts below). Tony was arrested on December 12, 2001, for issuing a Worthless Document (more commonly known as passing a bad check). Tony has never taken the opportunity to explain his criminal charge, so we don’t know how egregious it may have been, or if there were any circumstances, which might explain his actions.

Disclosure of a past misdemeanor crime may not in and of itself keep you from getting hired by a Law Enforcement Agency in South Florida. You are often provided an opportunity to write an explanation, that will allow for the Command Staff to further review the circumstances involved and ascertain if this was just a blimp on the radar or more indictive of your total character.

In Tony’s case he failed to list on his application that he had been arrested and summoned for a crime. This is his second blatant omission and false statement , first his traffic violation and now his criminal record (anyone else see a pattern forming here). The first omission and false statement would get you removed from any hiring process. The second omission and false statement would get you laughed out of a Law Enforcement Agency and told to go join the Circus, as they need clowns!

Untruthfulness in official matters is a violation of policy in the Broward’s Sheriff Office and will get you fired for doing so. How does Tony now fire people for the same offense. Oh, that’s right he stacked the discipline board.

I am sorry to say to the people of Broward County, that your Sheriff Tony did not only issued a fraudulent document, but that he is a fraud himself. He has demonstrated himself to be non-transparent and untruthful in official police matters. He is a Republican parading as democrat and once again perpetrating a fraud against the people of Broward County (and especially the people of Parkland) . He conned and fooled Governor Desantis into believing that he had some worth, when in fact his character is bankrupt.

So does Governor Desantis, who removed Israel for his failed leadership, have the fortitude to admit his mistake and now remove Tony. The next failed critical incident will lie firmly on the governor’s shoulders, if he fails to act. Maybe Governor Desantis can buy some blood kits from Tony to distribute, just in case.

In the next thread we will start to review Tony’s performance at Coral Springs Police department, which is normal protocol in a hiring background investigation. We will review his counseling letter and performance evaluations.

Collier County sheriff's Cpl. Carmine Marceno was working in New York on that fateful day, as a Suffolk County Park police officer. In the pocket of his uniform, he carries missal cards with the names of friends he's lost, some of them on Sept. 11. "Every time I put my uniform on, I bring them with me," Marceno said. "This day brings back a lot of memories of a lot of co-workers and great friends I've made along the way. I will never forget them."

“I believe the most important thing is to never forget those that paid the price that day,” said Capt. Carmine Marceno, with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, during his presentation at the event. “The most important thing is to never forget.” Marceno was working as a police officer with the New York Police Department during the time of the attacks and, although he was not on duty, he still recalled, “I immediately knew that we were under attack and that moment changed the world forever.”

The only problem is that according to his LCSO application, he was employed at Island Tea of Naples (4/00 through 1/03). Next time you see Carmine ask him for the list of names that he has in his uniform pocket.

There are only two options: (1) The statements to the News Media was falsified or (2) the application to the LCSO was falsified.

People continue to attack the female victim's credibility but fail to vent Carmine Marceno. No it is not politics. It is integrity.

I have created a new forum just for your union posts. You can find it either in the Florida section right under this one, or in this one at the very top of the threads.

Please do not post anything about the unions in this board.

The PBA has been losing units in record numbers all across the state. West coast, east coast, north, central and south Florida PBA’s are losing to the FOP and IUPA.
The PBA has adopted a method of operation that does not allow members a voice. We’ve seen that philosophy right here when Rod removed a rep without cause and against the members wishes.
The PBAs have also adopted a philosophy of don’t fight for members. From legal representation to negotiations of all types, whatever is offered is accepted even if bad for the members

This place sucks. The same officers go from specialized unit to specialized units. The rest of us in patrol don't have a chance. It's time to sit back and respond to calls only. Time to respond just like the fire department, only when a call comes in. Let the robbers and car thiefs have at it. GREAT MORALE BOOSTER.
