PBA gives award to pedophile and sexual deviant -how special
One has to hand it to the PBA. Either their priorities are skewed, or ours are, but the PBA has worked hard of developing a reputation of hanging out and socializing with criminals and unsavory characters while refusing to defend its members.
Most recently the PBA gave an award to South Miami Mayor who is a despicable human being so say the very least. He was involved in a case where he was totally naked with an underage exchange student living with him. On another occasion, he defended a rapist at FIU, and as a result stayed on working with our children.
Now, that is very special indeed BUT there is more! Who would be the most likely person to give such an award to a sexual predator but another sexual predator and thats why Steadman Stahl hand picked John Jenkins to deliver the award.
Once AGAIN, way to go PBA!!!!!! Special indeed.

We all know that both of the majors are not qualified to be in their position. They are incompetent and have never really performed actual law enforcement such as patrol.
Let's start a petition to terminate them because they are not an asset to our agency and are not good stewards of our budget and our mission.
Maybe we should do a vote of no confidence and submit it to the chief. Opinions please.

Now as we continue to review Tonys personnel file, we move on to his driving history. This is an area that is always reviewed during a hiring background, since driving is such a high liability area.

The review reveals that Tony had three At Fault Accidents while at Coral Springs Police Department. Each accident was reviewed by a board, which found him at fault. Considering all of Tonys apparent consternation with discipline boards, you must wonder if it does dont spring from all his failures in front of discipline boards and it has now become personal for him. Hmmmmm!

Once again, the police hiring standards for South Florida would not allow a person with such a poor driving record to be hired on as a full-time police officer. The risk and liability would be just too high for an agency to accept. Simply put, there are better candidates to select from.

Now comes the sticky part. Tony resigned while under investigation for his last accident. This is a major red flag for any background investigator, because it immediately prompts the question did he resign, or did he leave before being forced out from the investigation findings.

The findings letter states Due to the fact that he has retired from the agency, no further action shall be taken. So, what actions and or discipline would have been taken, if he had stayed? Did someone tap him on the shoulder and tell him it is best to go? These are the type of questions background investigators seek answers for, before recommending a person for hire. Unfortunately, Governor Desantis and his people in their hast to remove Isreal never took the time to vet Tony before placing him into such a high liability position, in a county of almost two million people.

So, are all Tonys accidents a result of reckless and carless behavior or just an immature person, who is not able to handle the responsibility of being a Law Enforcement Officer. Well his recent behavior as Sherriff demonstrates an immature person dancing and performing crud acts in public. However, he has also been observed being reckless and carless (not to mention a very poor example for children, who were watching and might chose to mimic his behavior) hanging off the side of golf cart, during a recent parade. I will let the reader make the call on this one.

In the next thread I will continue with Tonys driving record as the findings become even more serious, but before I go, I wish to briefly respond to the person who attempted to defend Tonys sick leave abuse and only demonstrated how incompetent as a police manager Tony really is.

The defense put forth was that Tony is not a sick leave abuser but sold all his time back each year to the City, as being acceptable. First off, the documentation demonstrates that he used the time (check the payroll records). Secondly, the city provides this benefit so that should their Officers become sick or injured off the job, they and their family will not suffer financially as well. The officers who sell back their sick time often have months and months accumulated on the books - not eleven hours. A person who would sell back all their sick time is simply a financially carless and reckless (there are those words again) person. A person of this nature should never be granted responsibility for a budget that is almost one billion dollars! This may also explain a negative net worth of almost $75, 000 and a personal sickly FICO score (credit check supports this).

BSO once again embarrassed themselves up here in Palm Beach County. I was headed to zone up in Lake Park when a BSO unit (#4647) blew by Northbound on I95 doing at least 90 mph and cutting people off. Stops at the light on the off ramp at exit 77. The BSO deputy takes a couple of drags of his cigarette and flicks it out of his unit striking the vehicle behind it. Then proceeds into a parking lot of a liquor store. Of course I get flagged down.

Whom ever the sheriff is down in Broward, get control of your people. Or even better. Limit the take home policy to Broward County only. What a disgrace.
