Here is something for you to run with Andy. A real story. Below I will post a link to the Sheriff's campaign contributors. There is a man Named Robert Stork. He owns several business in Vero Beach one of which is a company that earned the contract to redo the radios for the Sheriff's Office CI Harris. By the way he won the bid over Motorola which happens to be the company he uses to get his equipment from. He made over $3,000 in contributions under different names to the Sheriff so far this month. More than any other contributor. Ask the people Andy why a man who lives in Vero Beach wants Bill Prummell to become Sheriff? In the contract that he won he charged more for training, gave less discounts, and overall fell short of Motorola was preapred to do over the long run to the radios and dispatch system. Yet he still got the contract and won the bid. Andy there is meat here you just have to dig a little. Do a PRR for Omnicon consulting group with Charlotte county. Not the CCSO, the actual County. The contract was between CI Harris and Motorola on 10.20.16

Follow this link to see Robert Stork and RC Stork's contributions. Why does a man who lives on the other side of the state have such a vested interest in Prummell winning? Matter of fact when you look at Robert Stork's history of contributions to candidates in the state of Florida they are low. Prummell has received the most money in the last 4 years. Finally I would say in most cases this is fine, but this is a man who won a 6.6 million dollar contract from the County. If it walks like a duck? Go get em Andy!

It's time for a change from the wealthy Sheriff who travels with his protection detail as if he was the President of the US! If he is that afraid, maybe he is in the wrong business.

Gary has it this go around!

Hearing Not Good News For EX-Capt Ortiz! FYI 2020 is the year of the Rat.

Mr Ortiz seems like your luck is running out. Termination paperwork are being drafted. 2020 is not your year just ask Sergio Diaz

The Rat is the first in the 12-year cycle of Chinese zodiac. The Years of the Rat include 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020, 2032... Though people consider the rat not adorable, and it even makes its way into derogatory languages, it ranks first on the Chinese zodiac signs.

Javi You should read up on the yin and yang! Especially the dark energy.

The Rat is the Chinese zodiac sign known for being inquisitive, shrewd, and resourceful.

Since 2020 is the year of the Rat, people under this sign may feel like they have a dark cloud hovering over their heads. However, it is important to note that this is largely a matter of perspective. The year of the Metal Rat is filled with opportunities for success for everyone, so don’t let anxiety or negativity ruin it for you.

Major Robert Chandler

Who allowed Major Robert Chandler to speak at Trooper Bullock's service? Jesus Christ. What an absolute embarrassment.

This service is NOT ABOUT YOU, MAJOR. At least you were finally upfront and honest about your drinking problem, but this DEFINITELY was NOT the proper way, nor an appropriate venue in which to do so. What in the world would possess you to think that a rambling speech about your "best friend Jack" and all the "diet Coke" you drink (read Jack and Coke) would be appropriate for a memorial service for a fallen brother?!? You ought to be ashamed of yourself. The rest of us are certainly embarrassed and mortified by your "speech."

Do us all a favor and retire. Or better yet, maybe Tallahassee will finally take notice and do something, since you so thoroughly embarrassed yourself and the agency in front of the entire command staff, while being live steamed for the whole world to watch.

That speech tho...

The speech that the tooper/major gave was horrendous. Dont worry bud you made it crystal clear you were a major... The opening remarks saying that you do not know your own subordinate personally was hard to listen to and it just went down hill. If I worked for your agency I would petition for that guy to be demoted. That speech opened a small window on who that man actually is. Not a leader, just collecting a pay check for doing nothing apparently.

Half a million dollars yearly for 5 people paid by us

PBA heads pay themselves $500,000.00 collectively
Ever wonder where our PBA dues go to? Well, I did too and recently found out the answer. The PBA heads have given themselves a half a million dollars in salaries. The half million is yearly and spread among 5 people. That is in addition to the luxury car we buy them, and the unchecked credit cards they use for free daily lunches and dinners.
Our money would be better spent In The hands of criminals that we know are criminals instead of those that masked themselves as good guys.

So the best that the PBA can consider for contract negotiations is 12 hour shifts for all? Exactly how are you going to propose that for IOB and JOB? 12’s are designed for 24/7 units. Are tens not enough for IOB? Exactly how does the PBA decide what to ask for? How about considerations for night shift staff who have to do everything for overtime or comp because the rest of the agency closes by 1600? How about the trend of load bearing vests for patrol? And before you whine about cool guy vests, they are used by VCTF, HOME and K9, all patrol units. What about 9mm service weapons? And hold up, SWAT and several units carry the damn things so hold your hate. And whether or not these topics are worthy or not, who the hell decides what topics to bring up? Bedy? I suppose you have to go to the meetings/dinner. It would be nice if there was a way to ask for suggestions from everyone. I’ve been through no unions for contracts. FOP union begging and PBA begging. I’ve never been asked for an opinion by any union. Who decides what is asked for? It’d be nice if the the effected members had an actual say. What a concept 😑

If you constantly send out texts and calls and set up meetings and send lots of emails to all your subordinates, then NO ONE will want to work for you. Stop micromanaging. Stop being worried about every single signal that happens in your NET. People hate cops. Stop trying to force them to like us with coffee with a cop and other BS events. In application process... Just Wondering if I could pick your brains plz and ty.

1) if you could be told back then, what you know now, would you still pursue this field?

2) what advice would you give "pre-Leo" you?

3) how much of an impact has this career had on your family and relationships?

4) do you think the pay is worth the work?
