With Hurricane Irma approaching it is imperative that some leadership points be provided.
- The campaign promise that was made should actually be followed through. That promise was that the Sheriff would not ask the deputies to do anything he wouldn't do. That means suffering the same hardships (being ordered to stay in the courthouse overnight, BWC issues, etc). This is a perfect time to follow through with the campaign promise.
- Make sure that the rank and file deputies are actually taken care of. Let them be first in getting food, etc. Also...leaders remember your actions are being watched (don't take food home to the family, don't take extra food, etc).
- Chief Morgan.....NO selling real estate this weekend. Everybody knows you should have caught an IA for not getting permission for the secondary employment. But remember it sets a really bad example for you to do this when other deputies (check the thread with your name on it) are not allowed off duty employment. Also, take it easy with your relationship with C.B.
