So, as a long time hiring, recruiting and background investigator, responsible for reviewing hundreds of applicants for hiring, I thought I would put my training and experience to work reviewing Tonys personnel file from Coral Springs. In short, Tony would not have been hired as a deputy, no less any higher position in a Law Enforcement Agency in South Florida. In fact, my findings are he would have been fired from an agency for perjury, having lied on his application in several areas. One could speculate that this may be the reason he so abruptly resigned from the Coral Springs Police Department, while under investigation.
It has become apparent that the Republican machine (Tony is a republican trying to con his way once more as a democrat) is in a full court press to suppress the facts about Tony. The Desantis people are concerned, that if the true facts get out about Tony, it waters down his decision to remove Israel and makes a supportable case to now remove Tony.
The supporting facts and documentation will be forth coming in upcoming threads under this topic. It is just too much information to forward at one time. However, lets start with one fact that every background investigator looks at when evaluating a new hire sick time usage.
A review of Tonys personnel file demonstrates that he had 11.2 hours of sick time remaining, after 12 years at the agency. The Coral Springs Police Officers are provided approximately 100 hours a year sick time as a benefit, which accumulates. So Tony was provided approximately 1200 hours of sick time and he used all of them, except for 11 hours.
This is a major red flag for a sub-par employee, who has no work ethic. A person working a 40-hour week only works 2080 hours a year. So, Tony took the equivalent of over a half year off in sick time.
This person would not be hired under the normal police applicant review process. The review process done by Desantis and his representatives may only be classified as not meeting acceptable hiring standards, within the Law Enforcement profession. This is definitely not the standard the Broward Community expects from their Sheriff.
